On this, one of our most popular trips each year, we combine the best of all possible worlds to bring you a breathtaking look at the wonders of the road less traveled. Begin with the many charms of dramatic San Francisco before the panoramas of Yosemite change your view of the world forever. Enjoy an overnight ride on our private Vista-Dome Streamliner train, the Great Western Limited, and soak in the eclectic vibe of stunning Seattle. In Vancouver, the frontier spirit is alive and well in historic neighborhoods and waterside parks. Then board a Holland America Line ocean liner for a magical, pampered voyage along Alaska’s coast through the spectacular Inside Passage, Glacier Bay, and ports of call such as Juneau, cradled by mountains, and Skagway, a gold rush town with a special optional ride on the White Pass and Yukon Railroad. Walk along Ketchikan’s infamous Creek Street and explore Denali National Park with a Tundra Wilderness Tour capped by a journey to Anchorage aboard the luxurious McKinley Explorer train.

DAY 1: San Francisco, CA
Arrive in San Francisco and transfer to the Sheraton at Fisherman’s Wharf to begin a two-night night stay with your evening at your leisure to relax and explore.
DAY 2: San Francisco, CA
A magical day begins with a complete city tour followed by a San Francisco Bay cruise that circles Alcatraz and sails under the Golden Gate Bridge. All afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. Lunch in Chinatown, shop chic Union Square or ride an iconic cable car. Tonight is a special Welcome Dinner. (B,D)
DAY 3: San Francisco, CA & Yosemite National Park
Visit nearby Ghirardelli Square or the beautiful Embarcadero before a midday departure aboard the San Joaquin train through the great Central Valley, bound for Yosemite National Park and a night in a dramatic hotel alongside the rushing Merced River. (B)
DAY 4: Yosemite National Park & Great Western Limited
After breakfast, enjoy a complete tour of Yosemite with stunning views of Half Dome, Bridal Veil Falls, Tunnel View and El Capitan. In the late afternoon, travel North to the Bay Area where we enjoy a Golden Age of Rail Dinner before boarding your private Vista-Dome Streamliner train, the Great Western Limited, bound for Seattle, a beautiful overnight journey. DAY 5: Seattle, WA
Traverse the rugged Cascade Mountains with breakfast served in the Vista-Dome car. In Seattle, transfer to superbly-located Mayﬂower Park Hotel for a two-night stay. (B,L,D)
DAY 6: Seattle, WA
Enjoy all day at leisure in the “Emerald City” and take a short walk to Pike Place Market and the iconic Monorail to the soaring Space Needle. (B)
DAY 7: Vancouver, BC
Drive North to Vancouver to board Holland America Line’s elegant Noordam on the July and September departures or the classic Zaandam on the August departure. But ﬁrst enjoy lunch with a spectacular view of your ship before gliding under the Lion’s Gate Bridge, bound for Alaska. (B)
DAY 8: Vancouver, BC

DAY 9: Cruising the Inside Passage
Relax and enjoy a full day of scenic Inside Passage cruising and immerse yourself in Holland America Line elegance. (B,L,D)
DAY 10: Ketchikan, AK
Walk along infamous Creek Street, now lined with quaint boutiques, and see intricately carved totem poles at the Totem Heritage Center. (B,L,D)
DAY 11: Juneau, AK
In Juneau, hike a glacier, eat fresh-caught ﬁsh on a seaside patio and tour a grand capitol building all in one day. (B,L,D)
DAY 12: Skagway, AK
Find yourself immersed in gold rush lore, from the infamous Red Onion Saloon to the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad as it traverses mountains, waterfalls and glaciers. (B,L,D)
DAY 13: Glacier Bay, AK
Stone, ice and water sculpt a dramatic landscape that is the crown jewel of southeastern Alaska’s natural wonders and a World Heritage Site. (B,L,D)
DAY 14: Cruising the Gulf of Alaska
Pamper yourself with a glorious day aboard your Holland America cruise. (B,L,D)
DAY 15: Seward, AK & Denali National Park
Bid farewell to your ship because today you’re off to Denali National Park by motorcoach for a two-night stay at this magniﬁcent national treasure. You might see grizzlies crossing braided streams, Dall sheep traversing rugged cliffs, and moose foraging in upland meadows. (B,L,D)
DAY 16: Denali National Park
Venture deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour, the best way to see wildlife and hopefully Denali itself (formerly known as Mt. McKinley). (B,L,D)
DAY 17: McKinley Explorer & Anchorage, AK
This afternoon, board the luxurious McKinley Explorer train bound for Anchorage and overnight at the splendid Westmark Hotel. (B,L,D)
DAY 18: Anchorage, AK
You tour ends this morning in Anchorage as you are transferred to the airport with a suitcase full of memories.
