DAY 1: Chicago, IL & Great Western Limited

Depart Chicago bound for Utah on your private Vista-Dome Streamliner train. Enjoy a welcome reception and dinner as we roll west in great comfort and style. (D)

DAY 2: Moab, UT

Glide through the Colorado Rockies with an afternoon arrival in Grand Junction, CO after passing through awe-inspiring Glenwood Canyon. Begin a two-night stay at remarkable Red Cliffs Lodge with its stunning location on the Colorado River surrounded by natural beauty. (B,L,AT)

DAY 3: Moab, UT

Tour Arches National Park, where the forces of nature have created the greatest density of natural arches in the world. After a spectacular day of scenery, tonight is our cowboy-style Welcome Dinner. (B,D)

DAY 4: Moab, UT

Tour Canyonlands National Park, a colorful landscape eroded into countless canyons, mesas and buttes by the Colorado River. Enjoy your final night at stunning Red Cliffs Lodge. (B, L)

DAY 5: Salt Lake City, UT

Drive north to Salt Lake City with plenty of time to relax and explore this lovely city. Overnight at the acclaimed Little America Hotel within easy walking distance of wonderful restaurants. (B)

DAY 6: Salt Lake City, UT

Sleep in before a late morning Temple Square tour and then have the afternoon and evening free to further enjoy Salt Lake City at your pace. Overnight the at the showcase Little America Hotel. (B)

DAY 7: Jackson Hole, WY

Depart for Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park’s spectacular landscape, rich with majestic mountains, pristine lakes and extraordinary wildlife. The abrupt vertical rise of the jagged Teton Range contrasts with the horizontal sage-covered valley and glacial lakes at their base. Check into the superbly located Homewood Suites to begin our two-night stay. There is time tonight to enjoy Jackson Hole, including the fabled Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. (B,L)

DAY 8: Jackson Hole, WY

After breakfast, enjoy a morning float trip on the Snake River with the backdrop of the Grand Tetons. The afternoon is free to explore quaint downtown Jackson Hole and visit one of the lovely art galleries. Tonight is an Old West treat, an outdoor cowboy cookout. (B,D)

DAY 9: Yellowstone National Park, WY

Drive north to Yellowstone, America’s first national park. This afternoon we check into the charming Yellowstone Park Lake Lodge, located inside the park. (B)

DAY 10: Yellowstone National Park, WY

Experience Yellowstone’s majesty at Upper & Lower Falls, Hayden Valley, Old Faithful, Fountain Paint Pot, and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Today is a visual feast before returning to your lodge inside the park for a second restful night. (B)

DAY 11: Fairmont Hot Springs, MT

Take in the dramatic scenery on the way to Fairmont Hot Springs, the perfect indulgence. Admission to the soothing hot springs is included and there is a fine spa as well as varied outdoor activities. (B,D)

DAY 12: Glacier National Park, MT

Travel into Glacier National Park with an afternoon visit to Many Glacier, surrounded by the high peaks of the Lewis Range. This is the first of two nights at the historic Lake McDonald Lodge inside the park, built in the style of a Swiss chalet. Please note that our August departure will utilize the inviting Lodge at Whitefish Lake. (B)

DAY 13: Glacier National Park, MT

Depart this morning aboard one of the historic red open-air “jammer” buses for a spellbinding day that traverses the breathtaking Going to the Sun Road (weather permitting) over the Continental Divide. Later today, sail shimmering Lake McDonald on an early evening boat cruise. Overnight at Lake McDonald Lodge or the Lodge at Whitefish Lake. (B,D)

DAY 14: Great Western Limited

After breakfast, guests depart from Glacier National Park aboard the Great Western Limited. Tonight is our Farewell Dinner as we speed east. (B,L,D)

DAY 15: St. Paul, MN; Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL

The Great Western Limited arrives in St. Paul, Milwaukee and Chicago today. (B,L)
