-
Round-trip train travel from the Chicago aboard o the ‘City of New Orleans’ train’, an overnight journey over the Illinois Central Railroad in each direction. Guests enjoy comfortable reclining coach seating (similar to Business Class on an airplane). There is a cafe lounge to enjoy and this train journey is an ideal way to avoid long bus trips, airports, cramped seating and the perfect nostalgic way to travel to & from the Steamboat.
-
New Orleans sightseeing tours with a choice of the lovely Garden District or the impressive new D-Day Museum.
-
Seven-night American Queen ‘Old Fashioned Holiday Cruise’ with special decorations, menus and entertainment, round-trip from Memphis to New Orleans with visits to Oak Alley, St. Francisville, lovely Natchez, historic Vicksburg, Houmas House and Baton Rouge. Best of all, in the Cajun tradition, huge bonfires are lit along the Mississippi River to guide Papa Noel, an amazing site to witness and only one of the many joys of this holiday cruise. Naturally, all meals and some of the best entertainment afloat are included onboard.
-
Special welcome aboard and farewell cocktail party aboard the Steamboat.
-
Overnight luxury accommodations in New Orleans after the cruise at the Ritz Carlton Hotel with breakfast and luggage handling. Naturally all transfers to & from the train and hotel and Steamboat are included for added convenience.
-
French Quarter sightseeing tour followed by a visit to famous Café du
Monde for the best beignets and café au lait in North America.
Fully escorted from start to finish by professional tour manager with special cocktail parties and events just for our group.
